The End

Corridors devoid of sound
After an event of memory
Original noises return
     from beneath the life departed

Sensations of emptiness
Witness
The end of an era

Stillness and loss of activity
     consume the entirety
Constant change
     now exponentiated
     beyond comprehension

Friendships forged
Drift apart
Aquaintances lost
The end of an era

Things become unrecognisable
Hastening the inevitable
Unfamiliarity
Staleness of experience
Choices made and deeds done

A new beginning
The end of an era
